춘천 출생. 강원대 약대를 졸업하고, 동국대 대학원 국문과를 수료했다. 2011년 《작가세계》에 단편소설 「교육의 탄생」이 당선되어 등단했으며, 장편소설 『무한의 책』, 『죽음이 너희를 갈라놓을 때까지』, 『무언가 위험한 것이 온다』, 소설집 『라면의 황제』, 『골든 에이지』, 『빛과 영원의 시계방』, 산문집 『밤의 약국』을 썼다. 현재 강원도 원주에서 소설가 일과 약사 일을 병행하고 있다. 젊은작가상, SF어워드 우수상 등을 수상했다.
Born in Chuncheon, Kim Heesun studied pharmacy at Kangwon National University and Korean Literature at Dongguk University. In 2011 she made her literary debut in the journal Writer’s World with the short story “The Birth of Education.” Since then she has published the novel The Book of Infinity, Until Death Divides You Up, Something Dangerous Comes Along, the short-story collections The Emperor of Ramen, Golden Age, The Clock Room of Light and Eternity, and the essay collection Night Pharmacy. She currently lives in Wonju, Kangwon-do, working as a novelist and pharmacist. She has received many awards, including the SF Award and the Munhakdongne Young Writers’ Award.
