「모멘트 아케이드」로 2019년 제4회 한국과학문학상 단편 부문 대상을 수상하며 데뷔했다. 단편집 『밤의 얼굴들』, 중편 『클락워크 도깨비』, 『10초는 영원히』, 장편소설 『우리가 다시 만날 세계』, 『서브플롯』, 『1923, 말 없는 자들의 목소리』 등을 출간했다. 「연고, 늦게라도 만납시다」로 2021년 SF어워드를 수상했으며 『우리가 다시 만날 세계』로 2022년 양성평등문화상 신진여성문화인상을 수상했다. 「모멘트 아케이드 モーメントアーケード」가 일본어로, 『우리가 다시 만날 세계 再次重逢的世界』가 중국어로 번역 출간되었다.
Hwang Mogua made her debut when she won the Grand Prize for Short Stories and Novellas in the 4th Korea Science Fiction Awards in 2019 for her short story “The Moment Arcade.” Her published works include the short-story collection Faces of the Night, the novellas Clockwork Goblin, 10 Seconds Forever, the novels The World We’ll Meet Again, Sub Plot, and 1923, Voice of the Silent. She won the 2021 SF Award with “Homecoming, Better Late Than Never,” the 2022 Gender Equality Culture Award in the category of New Generation Female Person of Culture for her novel The World We’ll Meet Again. Her short story “The Moment Arcade” has been translated into Japanese and her novel The World We’ll Meet Again has been translated into Chinese.
