1965년 전남 구례 출생. 1990년 빨치산이었던 부모의 삶을 기록한 장편소설 『빨치산의 딸』로 데뷔했다. 이후 역사 속에서 상처 입은 개인의 내면에 천착하여 소설집 『행복』, 『봄빛』, 『숲의 대화』, 『자본주의의 적』을 출간했다. 2022년 빨치산 아버지의 죽음을 해학적으로 그려낸 장편 『아버지의 해방일지』로 어긋난 시대와 이념에서 이해와 화해를 가능케했다는 평가를 받았다.
Jeong Ji A was born in 1965 in Gurye, South Jeolla Province. In 1990 she made her debut with the novel The Partisan’s Daughter, which documented the lives of her parents who were partisans. Afterwards, her work explored the inner lives of individuals wounded in history, publishing the novels Happiness, Light of Spring, The Forest Speaks, and Enemy of Capitalism. In 2022, her novel Father’s Liberation Diary, which humorously portrayed the death of a partisan father, was praised for enabling understanding and reconciliation between characters from different generations and ideologies.
