León Plascencia Ñol is a poet, narrator, painter, and editor. He was born in 1968. The main themes of his poetic and narrative work are travel, desire, eroticism, and love. He explores a combination of genres, or rather he moves within a mixed amphibious genre that allows complete freedom in the use of literary resources, although the whole of his work may have been generated by a glance and the reflection of poetic rhetoric. He has been awarded some of his country’s most significant prizes, including the 2010 Carlos Pellicer Latin American Poetry Prize for Published Work, the Gilberto Owen National Poetry Prize, the Agustín Yáñez National Short Story Prize, and the Álvaro Mutis Mexico-Colombia Poetry Prize. His works are Satori, Revólver rojo, Tratado sobre la infidelidad, Zoom, and Seúl es una esquina blanca. His work has been partially translated into English, French, and Portuguese. He belongs to the National Association of Mexican Art Creators.
