Choi Jae-hoon was born in 1973 in Seoul and graduated from the School of Management at Yonsei University and the Department of Creative Writing at Seoul Institute of Arts. He made his literary debut in 2007 with his receipt of the Literature and Society New Writer Award for his short story, “Baron Quirval’s Castle.” His works include the short story collection, Baron Quirval’s Castle, and the novel, Seven Cat Eyes. He received the Hankook Ilbo Literary Award in 2011.
