코로나 팬데믹을 통과하며 우리는 생명과 안전의 위기를 경험하고 생명체로서 인간이 지닌 연약함에 대해 정직하게 응시하게 되었습니다. 문학이 그리는 돌봄의 마음은 누군가를 보살피고 서로에게 의지하는 행위가 만드는 빛과 그림자를 섬세하게 조명합니다. 김금희의 소설은 시대적 상처를 껴안고 살아가는 이들이 털어놓는 감정을 곡진하게 기록하며 새로운 관계성과 보살핌을 상상합니다. 마르타 바탈랴의 소설은 가부장제 사회에 저항하는 여성들의 주체적인 움직임을 역동적인 유머와 생기로 형상화합니다. 두 작가가 나누게 될 깊은 대화의 장으로 여러분을 초대합니다.
Through the COVID-19 pandemic, we have experienced life crises, safety crises, and have earnestly come face to face with human vulnerability. The caring mind drawn by literature delicately illuminates the lights and shadows created by looking after others and relying on other people for help. Kim Keum Hee’s novels carefully record the feelings of those who live with the wounds of this era, and imagine new relationships and ways of caring. Martha Batalha’s novel embodies a women’s independence movement that resists patriarchal society with dynamic humor and vitality.
