Pyun Hye Young Novelist South Korea
Born in 1972 in Seoul, Pyun Hye Young studied Creative Writing at Seoul Institute of the Arts and earned her Master’s degree in the Department of Korean Literature at Hanyang University. Her literary career started in 2000 when she won the annual contest hosted by The Seoul Shinmun with her short story "Shaking off Dew". She received the 40th Hankook Ilbo Literary Award in 2007, and the 10th Lee Hyo-seok Literary Award in 2009. She has published three books: Aoi Garden, To the Kennels, and Ash and Red.
