Santiago Gamboa Novelist Colombia
Born in 1965 in Bogotá, Colombia, Santiago Gamboa is a novelist and journalist. He made his debut as a novelist with Páginas de Vuelta(1995). He is the author of Night Prayers, The Art of Losing(adapted into a film in 2014), El síndrome de Ulises (short-listed for the 2007 Rómulo Gallegos International Novel Prize and the Prix Médicis étranger), Necropolis, and Return to the Dark Valley. His works have been translated into more than 17 languages including English, French, Greek, and Arabic and are particularly popular in the USA, Germany and Italy. His writing is replete with metaphors of exile and migration. Gamboa is known as “a writer who explores the world through travel and literature.”
