Yi Won Poet South Korea
Yi Won is a Korean poet. She is the author of the poetry collections When They Ruled the Earth, A Thousand Moons Rising Over the River of Yahoo!, The World’s Lightest Motorcycle, The History of the Impossible Paper, Let Love Be Born, and I’m My Own Sweet Zebra; and the prose collections Everything in a Walk, Discovery of Minimum, and A Dictionary for Poetry. Yi has received a number of literary awards including the Korean Modern Poetics Award, the Korean Modern Poetry Award, the Sijak Literary Award, the Opening the World with Poetry Award, Hyeongpyeong Literary Award, and Seeindongne Literary Award. She currently serves as a professor at Seoul Institute of the Arts.
