For each particle to shake and eventually roll into a big wave, we have to mix them up. Literature willingly opens up that space, and humor exerts its unique power within literature. Comedy can be both a stretchy pocket or a sharp sniper. So some jokes make everyone laugh. Some jokes alienate, and some fall flat.
